2006–07 Japan Figure Skating Championships
The Japan or All-Japan Figure Skating Championships is held annually to determine the Japanese figure skating title. The disciplines of competition are men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Some years some disciplines are not held because there are no skaters in those disciplines. This event was used to determine the teams for the World Figure Skating Championships and the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. The level of competition is Senior-level only. Juniors compete at the Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships, where the top three advance to the World Junior Figure Skating Championships.
The 2006–07 season championships were held at the Rainbow Ice Arena in Nagoya between December 27 and 29, 2006.
==Competition notes==

* The following skaters placed high enough at Junior Nationals and so were invited to compete at Nationals: Tatsuki Machida, Takahito Mura, and Hirofumi Torii for men, and Nana Takeda, Rumi Suizu, and Satsuki Muramoto for ladies.
